Description

The requirement is for a product/solution architect for an application called ENVOY:

- Has very strong and in-depth understanding and knowledge on all technology concepts, primarily JAVA

- Knows the latest technological advancements and developments

- Can advise client on web architecture, development, responsive web design and so on.

- Architect and design web architecture which can be enhanced to mobile and tablet environment.

- Do hands on work, POCs

This Architect will help the client in a multi-year multimillion dollar project for enhancing the

architecture of existing webpages (around 1000 pages) to support latest web browsers and then to enhance the same

for mobile and tablet.

The current tech stack for Envoy is

• JDK 1.6

• WebLogic 10.3.3

• Spring Framework (MVC, Core, Transaction Management)

• EJB 2.0 (Stateless Session Beans and a few Entity beans)

• JBoss DROOLS

• Sybase ASE 15 (Being migrated to Microsoft SQL Server 2012)

• JSP with custom template framework for GUI (JSP has only Java code. All the HTML code is in XML templates)

• Yahoo UI 2.8 (for publicly available pages)

Supported Browsers : Internet Explorer Only

Next Gen Envoy Scope:

- Redesign the current look and feel and navigation (Possibly replace the current frontend framework)

- Support for all major browsers, tablets and limited support on smart phones (looking for mobile web)

- Customizable widgets (like portlets)

- Replace Session Beans and EJBs with Spring POJOs

- Upgrade to JDK 1.8

Upgrade to latest WebLogic server
