Job Description:
* 3-6 years of experience in performance test engineering or related experience required.
* Planning and execution of test strategies for performance test
engagements to determine system performance, capacity, stability, and
scalability addition.
* Elicit performance requirements and determine workload and usage models.
* Perform monitoring, diagnostics, analysis, tuning, and reporting of
results to identify and troubleshoot system performance issues and
bottlenecks, as well as lead the work of others and the review of
performance-related work products and deliverables
* Strong ability to interpret and summarize performance test metrics,
including the ability to correlate, create and present result reports
for various audiences
* Experience scripting with at least 2/3 performance testing platforms
and load generators (HP Performance Center, LoadUI, JMeter, WebLOAD,
Seagull….)
* Experience in performance testing J2EE technologies including servlet, JDBC, JSP, Java, IIS, ASP.NET applications; Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server is preferred.
* Working knowledge of one or more software programming languages (Java,
C#…) required along with scripting languages (Perl, Groovy, UNIX
SHELL…)
* Strong knowledge of application software, performance test methods,
infrastructure, and network and associated tools. Along with
pre-production application/transaction level tracing/monitoring
* Very good problem solving, critical thinking, analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
* Ability to adapt and work in a highly dynamic environment
* Excellent oral/written communication including the ability to listen
carefully and draw accurate and pertinent details from the customer
* Ability to see the big picture/system understanding with
capability/potential to dive into low level details to support problem
isolation
