Online applications are invited for the following posts in the Establishment of High Court, Allahabad :
Personal Assistants (PA) : 67 posts (UR-31, SC-13,ST-1, OBC-16), Age : 21-35 years as on 01/07/2013, Pay Scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Selection Process shall comprise of 03 (Three) Stages – Stage-1 Written Examination SYLLABUS Maximum Marks (i) Elementary knowledge of General English. 20 (ii) Elementary knowledge of Computers. 20 (iii) Translation of Passage in Shorthand to English (From Sir Issac Pitman’s Book) 40
(iv) General Knowledge / Current Affairs 20 TOTAL 100 Stage-2 Shorthand Test 200 Stage-3 Computer Knowledge Test 100 GRAND TOTAL 400
7.The Written Examination shall be in two Parts and will take place on the same day– Part-A Objective Type Test on O.M.R. Sheets (i) Elementary knowledge of General English. (ii) Elementary knowledge of Computers. (iii) General Knowledge / Current Affairs
Part-B Subjective Type Test on Answer Booklet Translation of Passage in Shorthand to English (From Sir Issac Pitman’s Book)
8. Final Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Written Examination including Shorthand Test, Typing and performance in Computer Operation. Preference shall be given to the candidates possessing good knowledge of Hindi Shorthand and typewriting also with speed of 80 & 30 words per minute, respectively.
Fee : Rs. 500/- for General Category and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST through the Payment-Challan in any branch of the State Bank of India.
How to Apply : Apply Online at Allahabad High Court . The candidates will generate a print-out of the on-line Application Form and will send the Hard-copy to “The Deputy Registrar (Examination), High Court, Allahabad” along with the following documents by Registered Post
General Instructions:
1. Candidate is required to submit On-line Application Form for the post of Personal Assistant in the prescribed format available on the Official Web-site of and send the hard-copy of the Application Form generated from the Web-site along with attested photo-copies of all requisite documents, proof of deposit of prescribed fees (High Court Copy of Payment-Challan, in Original) and Check-List so as to reach the office of the Deputy Registrar (Examination Cell)
2. The candidate is required to deposit the prescribed fee through the Payment Challanin State Bank of India Account No. 32891034356.
3. The candidature of the candidate will be accepted only when he submits his Application Form On-line and thereafter sends the hard-copy of the Application Form printed from the Web-site along with the requisite documents and proof of deposit of prescribed fees (High Court Copy of Payment-Challan, in Original) so as to reach the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Examination) on or before 30.04.2013.
4. The Candidate is required to go through the instructions before filling the On-line Application Form.
5. Candidate should mention his name and Date of Birth in the Application Form as per the High School Examination Certificate.
6. Candidates should affix a latest Passport size coloured photograph with signature thereon duly attested by some Gazetted Officer at the place provided in the hard copy of the On-line Application Form. Photograph generated on Mobile Phone shall not be accepted.
7. Candidate employed in Government Department/Undertaking should send the hardcopy of the On-line Application Forms Through Proper Channel so as to reach the office of the Deputy Registrar (Examination)
8. The Personal Assistants who are engaged on ad hoc basis in the Establishment of the High Court are also entitled to apply against the aforesaid vacancies subject to their being otherwise qualified and eligible.
9. A Male candidate who has more than one wife living or a female candidate who has married a person already having a wife living shall not be eligible for recruitment to the establishment.
10. One envelope shall contain hard-copy of the On-line Application Form of only one candidate. An envelope containing more than one application form, will be rejected.
