Applications are invited for filling up the following Para Medical posts in ITB Police (ITBP) from Indian citizens :

SELECTION PROCESS:
The candidates whose applications are found to be in order shall be issued Admit Cards to appear in recruitment test. The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit card. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests/events as mentioned against each post:- SN Name of Post Tests/ events Remarks 1 Inspector (Hindi Translator) Height Bar At the very beginning of recruitment process, candidates will be asked to go through the height bar test. The candidates not meeting the prescribed height will be eliminated. Physical Standard Test (PST) Candidates who have qualified Height Bar Test will be screened first for Height, Chest (for male candidates only) and Weight measurements. Written Examination – 200 Marks The PST qualified candidates will be required to pass the following examination with at least 50% marks in each written paper (excluding Interview) and 55% marks in aggregate (including Interview). The SC/ST candidates will be given concession upto 5% marks as per Govt. of India instructions on the subject contained in DOP&T OM No. 36012/23/96-Estt.(Res.) Vol.II dated 03.10.2000. Paper-I General Knowledge, English & Hindi (Objective type) 1 ½ Hrs 100 Marks Paper-II Professional Test Translation (English to Hindi and Hindi to English) 1 ½ Hrs 100 Marks Interview- 20 Marks The Candidates, who obtain the prescribed passing marks in written examination, will be called for Interview to check personal bearing, response, aptitude, general level of intelligence etc. Checking of documents
APPLICATION FEE: The candidates belonging to General and OBC category should pay the fee of Rs. 50/- (Fifty only) (non-refundable) as application fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the issuing Post Office in such a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamps partially overflows
How to Apply : Eligible and interested candidates should send their Applications (duly filled in Hindi or English only) complete in all respects and Candidate’s Admit Card duly filled, in the prescribed proforma as per Annexure ‘I’ and Annexure ‘II’. The application, either type written or neatly hand written in ink/ball pen, on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application should be sent along with application fee, and enclosures to the designated Post Box No. as mentioned against each post at para- 4 above.
General Instructions:
i) Those who do not qualify any stage will get eliminated from the process there only and will not be allowed to appear in further tests.
ii) No Race Test will be held for Ex-servicemen. However, ex-servicemen will be required to pass the requisite PST, written test, trade test and medical examination as applicable.
iii) Qualifying marks in written & trade test shall be 35% for General Candidates & Ex- Servicemen and 33% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward class in the written as well trade/practical test.
iv. A candidate declared unfit in detail medical examination, if not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer, can submit an appeal for re-medical examination with a Medical Fitness Certificate as per Annexure-“VI”,
v. The appeal will also not be taken into consideration unless it contains Medical re-examination fee of Rs. 25/- through Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft in the name of authority mentioned below against each post and rejection slip (in original) issued by the Presiding Officer.
vi. All eligible candidates will be duly informed about the date and venue of the recruitment tests through admit card. Candidates should come duly prepared for more than one day stay under their own arrangements at the Recruitment Centre.
