In the season of shuffling releases dates another film has now moved from its release date. Soojit Sircar’s Madras Cafe featuring John Abraham and Nagri Fakri which was supposed to release on 30 August 2013 has now preponed its date to 23 August 2013.
The decision to move from its original date seems to be an reaction to the postponement of Satyagraha from 23 August to 30 August,with Spetember being jam packed there was no way the film would have got a solo release so the decision to move Madras cafe seems like a wise decision on the part of makers.
From the makers of “Vicky Donor”, “Madras Cafe” is an Indian political thriller. John Abraham plays the character of an Indian intelligence agent, while Nargis Fakhri (of “Rockstar” fame) plays a journalist. The film also deals with terrorism.The shooting schedule of the film was wrapped up in March and the post-production work is almost complete.The first trailer of “Madras Cafe” is likely to be released in the first week of July. It will be interesting to see that how the film will get the desired screen space and how much dent it will make to the collection of OUATIMD.
